Gunarto mengaku, telah mengirimkan undangan kepada dua mantan presiden, Aburrahman Wahid (Gus Dur) dan Megawati. Hanya saja, kedua orang ini belum bisa dipasikan kedatangannya. “Kami sudah mengundang beliau, masalah datang atau tidak, kami tidak tahu,” ujarnya.
Tidak hanya pejabat di lingkungan pemprov dan pejabat pusat, tapi juga beberapa pejabat dari luar Jatim ingin menyaksikan peresmian jembatan terpanjang se Asia Tenggara itu misalnya Gubernur Bali dan Lampung.
Bahkan, yang semula undangan hanya untuk anggota DPR RI dari dapil Jatim terpaksa ditambah karena mayoritas anggota dewan ingin hadir saat peresmian itu.”Semuanya karena permintaan meningkat,” ujarnya.
Yang menarik, dari sekian persiapan yang dilakukan oleh pemprov adalah terkait lagu mars jembatan Suramadu. Lagu mars itu nanti akan dinyanyikan oleh kelompok musik dari Madura dan beriringan dengan tembang-tembang khas Jatim, khususnya Madura. “Pokoknya desain acara nanti semua khas Madura,” pungkasnya.(nurqomar/B)

SURABAYA(Pos Kota)-Sekitar pukul 10.00 nanti, Jembatan Nasional Surabaya-Madura diresmikan Presiden RI, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Tak kurang dari 6.500 undangan telah disebar pemprov Jatim untuk acara itu. Peresmian jembatan senilai Rp 4,2 triliun ini dipastikan semarak.
“Banyak pejabat yang penasaran ingin melihat keindahan Suramadu. Makanya udangan yang kami sebar membengkak,” kata Kepala Biro Humas dan Protokoler Jatim, Gunarto Rabu (10/6).
